Timezone Converter. Convert Date & Time Between Two Zones

Pick a source zone, type the wall-clock time there, and read the same instant in the target zone. No Unix arithmetic, no UTC detour in your head, the browser does the moment math.

converter

Convert a time between two zones.

Pick the source zone, type a wall-clock time, and read the same instant in the target zone — no epoch arithmetic required. DST is handled per-moment.

How each moment gets resolved

Every line you type is first resolved to an exact instant using the source zone's rules, then re-rendered in the target zone. The two "offset" rows show you the UTC± for both zones at that specific moment, which is the key detail: offsets are not fixed, they change with daylight saving, so "New York is UTC−5" is only true half the year.

The Local option is your browser's own timezone (whatever Intl reports), and every other entry is a full IANA zone, all 400+ of them, searchable by name in the dropdowns. Both pickers are the same accessible combobox pattern the main converter uses: type to filter, arrow keys to move, Enter to select.

Zone pairs, converted

  • 2026-08-07 14:30:22 from Asia/Kolkata to America/New_York → 05:00:22 the same day (UTC+5:30 → UTC−4 in August).
  • 2026-01-15 09:00:00 from Europe/London to Asia/Tokyo → 18:00:00 (UTC+0 in winter → UTC+9).
  • Picking Local on both sides is a no-op sanity check, and a quick way to learn your browser's offset at any date.

Daylight saving, handled per moment

Because the conversion is done against the IANA database embedded in your browser (Intl.DateTimeFormat with a zone), spring-forward and fall-back are applied for the exact date you enter, a July value gets the summer offset, a January value the winter one, even for the same pair of zones. Two edge cases exist but are rare: an hour that doesn't exist (skipped at spring-forward) and an hour that happens twice (fall-back). The converter resolves both to the nearest valid interpretation.
