Privacy Policy — Real Epoch Converter
Short version: this site collects almost nothing. Everything you convert stays on your device.
Overview
Real Epoch Converter is a privacy-first online epoch converter. We designed it so that no account is required, no personal information is requested, and no analytics or advertising trackers are embedded anywhere on the site. Using the converter does not require you to share anything with us at all.
What we collect
Nothing that can identify you. We do not require registration, we do not use cookies for tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics, advertising, or social widgets. The timestamps and dates you convert are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
Local storage
The site uses your browser's local storage solely to remember your preferences, such as your chosen timezone and light or dark mode. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical logs (such as the requested page and the date and time of the request) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to build profiles, and they are retained only as long as needed for operational purposes.
Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts to render its typography. Loading these assets may cause your browser to contact Google's servers, subject to Google's own privacy policy. No personal data is intentionally shared with any third party.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site handles data — and we hope we never have to — we will update this page and revise the date below. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
